North Rim is a populated place in Coconino County, Arizona, United States. It is located adjacent to the Grand Canyon within Grand Canyon National Park.
The area includes a Visitor Center, the Grand Canyon Lodge, and a number of hiking trails, including the Bright Angel Point Trail and Transept Trail.
North Rim is 92 kilometers south-southeast of Fredonia and is only accessible by way of Arizona State Route 67 via U.S. Route 89A. During the winter season December through mid-May SR 67 is closed from a point immediately south of Jacob Lake by the Arizona Department of Transportation. During November it is only accessible during the day.
